MD Sahadat Hossain, PhD is a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and director for the Solid Waste Institute for Sustainability at the University of Texas at Arlington. He works to develop clean and healthy urban cities through sustainable waste management. Hossain also provides sustainable waste management training and other educational activities for many developing countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia, in partnership with the International Solid Waste Association. Previously, he worked as a civil/geotechnical engineer in Bangladesh, Thailand and Singapore.
